Bryony Worthington and Staffan Qvist travelled to New York for the Climate Action Week

Baroness Bryony Worthington, Advisor to Repower Initiative, and Staffan Qvist, founder of Repower travelled to New York for the Climate Action Week in September. This is the largest annual climate event of its kind, bringing together over 600 events and activities, and is run in partnership with the United Nations General Assembly.

Cindy D. Taff of Sage Geosystems Inc. led a deep dive on how geothermal technology could be used as a power and cooling solution for data centres, and the demands AI will make upon the energy grid.

As people and companies are waking up to the impacts of climate change, Repowering coal stations with clean technology is a viable and timely solution to how to decarbonise while simultaneously meeting our rising energy demands.
